240 local residents came for the lighting of the Jubilee Beacon on St Oswald's School Playing Field. The Beacon was laid and light by Cllr Mike Jones, assisted by Meg.
27 Scarecrows took part in the Jubilee Scarecrow festival
A service of Thanks Giving took place at 11.15am on Sunday 5 June at St Oswalds Church, Backford
90 local residents join us for the community Jubilee Party on Sunday 5 June. 2 to 5 pm. There was delicious food, bar, music through the decades, Royal photo booth and craft for the kids and adults!
Nicky Binks and Clare from Landstruction designed and planted a Jubilee display under the Coronation Oak on Townfield Lane
The three Parish Councils each planted a tree on their village greens.
Completing our celebrations, St Oswald's Primary School hosted a Summer Fete on Sautrday 11 June. Bouncy castle, Burgers, Bar and Backford Belles Icecream!.
