to the wider community.
Built in the 13th Century, as was the East window, the chancel has two further stained glass windows, one of which is of Butter Hill. In the corner of the equally beautiful Millennium window, is a small bell symbol, hinting at the involvement of bell ringers, who helped raise the funds for it.

Early in 1983, two nurses attended a meeting of the Chester Lions and spoke about their work caring for patients suffering from cancer. When asked where they were based the nurses explained that they had no base but talked about the idea of a local hospice. Under the leadership of Noel Rouse, the Chester Lions approached local businesses. Following a considerable groundswell of support a committee and working party worked tirelessley to raise funds. The Hospice was opened by Diana, Princess of Wales in 1989.

A Five Village Community Hub team, led by; Chair Rosie Sedgwick, Colin Davies, Stephen Thackray, John Fielding, Judy Morgan, Andrew Harkness and Christopher Jones, have worked tirelessly over the last 5 years to bring this project to a successful conclusion.
